Nature:
Our skin loses moisture all the time, depending on how much we exert ourselves. If the moisture can not evaporate at the same rate as it is lost from the body, we will feel uncomfortable. For this reason, the clothes we wear and their ability to absorb moisture are of considerable importance to our well-being. Wool can absorb 35 percent of its own weight, without feeling moist. In comparison, cotton and linen can absorb about half that, while nylon absorbs just 9 percent, and polyester and acrylic fibres only about 2 percent.

Damp wool is a source of heat: Clothes which can not absorb any or only small amounts of moisture will become wet and damp; they feel cold, and so do we. Wool, on the other hand, has the added advantage that, through its own chemical reaction, it releases heat when it becomes damp. Its ability to give off heat is five times greater than any other textile fibre, and in this manner it acts as a buffer against changes in the surrounding temperature and humidity.

Felt items from UFH are made from the finest 100 percent pure natural wool. The wool has not been chemically treated in any way, other than by using ordinary soap flakes.

Washing instruction: Because of the wool’s capacity of to felt, the item should be washed with care to prevent shrinking. Washing is therefore at your own risk.

Washing should be carried out by hand using a detergent specially designed for wool, or simply using ordinary hair shampoo. Spin-dry the item and leave them to dry completely before using them again.

Felt materials are made up of wool which is known as sheep wool. Felt materials are also imported from New Zealand and Australia because there is a huge amount of wool which has better quality and good for making felt products. Our felt products are made of 100% wool. The wool is boiled and then stretched to desired size and shape. Each item is made of only one piece of felt. These are very warm and comfortable to wear. Most of our products in felt are bags, coin/pencil case, hats/caps, shoes/slippers, jewellery items, accessories and decorative. We also make custom items in any shape and designs as per the desired of buyers. The colors and motifs shown are just samples. We can make any motif or design and in any color as per your requirement.
